In our family, when we finish all of our homeschool subjects for the year, we take a week completely "off" from anything strictly educational and then we move into summer learning mode. Each kid has a checklist of things they need to do each day before they have screen time:
- Move your body
- Create something
- Read something
- Practice math
I like to keep a variety of options on hand for math practice such as games and manipulatives. And now I have two additional options: printable worksheets and online games from Education.com!
This post was sponsored by Education.com. As usual, all opinions are my own honest assessment of the product and its benefits, especially for large family homeschoolers!
Thousands of Educational Activities for Math Practice
In the past when I searched online for printable worksheets or games, Education.com came up near the top of the search results, but I'd never explored their Premium Membership before. I was astounded at the number of worksheets available for Math Practice.
Not only was I able to search for worksheets by grade or math topic, I also discovered that Education.com puts together handy learning set for various seasons and occasion. For example, these cool Spring Break packets make a great all-in-one, easy to access resource!
Another useful feature of the Education.com Premium Membership is that many worksheets are available in both digital and print versions.
This means that I don't have to print worksheets every day! If we're at home, the boys can access Interactive Worksheets on the computer or even on their tablets. But if we're going to be on the road, we can print a copy to take along so math practice doesn't have to depend on Wifi!
Colorful and Engaging Educational Worksheets
I printed out a selection of worksheets that I thought would catch my boys' attention and Education.com did not disappoint! I laid out the worksheets on the table, and they each picked an activity to dive into!
I could have limited the selection to worksheets aimed at each of their current grade levels (third grade and fifth grade) but I decided it would be more fun if they had the option to pick something easier for a quick win, or something a little harder for a challenge and that's exactly what happened!
The menus at the top of any page on the website also made it easy to find worksheets by subject and even refined down to specific topics within that subject.
Not only did I have the option to choose from math skills like Place Value, Patterns, Decimals, and other math topics you might expect to find, but Education.com also had categories for Math Puzzles! The Addition Puzzles Boxes (think Sudoku meets Addition) were an especially big hit and I even discovered my seventh grader tackling them for fun! (You can see one of the Addition Puzzle Box worksheets in the image above.)

Online Learning Games
In addition to the interactive worksheets, we also found a wide range of learning games the boys could play online. For example, they took turns tryout two two-digit subtraction made fun with a quirky character and entertaining antics for right or wrong answers. Plus, the game pointed out mistakes and how to get the right answer when they made a misstep!
Lessons and Assignments for a Deeper Dive
Although I was primarily interested in Education.com for continued math practice over the summer, a Premium Membership does provide the option of setting up each of your students with a grade level and even customizing assignments for each student. This means you could easily incorporate Education.com in your homeschool year and coordinate it with any math curriculum.
Plus, Education.com provides lesson plans and hands-on learning ideas across curriculum areas and grade levels. Just to give you an idea, here's a complete lesson plan on solving perimeter word problems that you could use in place of or in addition to a lesson in your homeschool math curriculum. It includes ideas for introducing the topic, plus a selection of printables available for download to check and assess learning!
Multiple Kids, One Premium Membership
If you're a large family like us, you'll be especially glad to hear that you only need to purchase one Education.com Premium Membership to cover all of your kids! Once you've entered in all of your children, you can even create custom assignments for them if there are particular skills or activities you want them to tackle.
