We homeschool for lots of reasons, but one of them is because it’s important to us to be able to adapt and modify instruction for the needs and developmental ability of each child. No need to sit in a classroom bored with material you’ve already learned, or overwhelmed because you’ve fallen behind and you feel lost.
Usually adapting the curriculum or learning to fit the student is a responsibility that falls on me as a homeschool parent - either supplementing the lesson plans with extra resources or skipping things one of the kids has already mastered.
